Over the past week, WWE has begun revealing who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the WrestleMania XL festivities next month. So far, Paul Heyman and Bull Nakano have been made official for the Class of 2024 and now, both Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham are set to receive arguably the highest honors of their professional wrestling careers.
As first reported by The Ringer, Rotunda and Windham are set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame collectively as The U.S. Express. Shortly after The Ringer’s article was published, Triple H posted a video to his X account sharing the news with both Rotunda and Windham directly, in which Rotunda gets emotional over the news of his very first induction.
For Windham, however, this marks his second time entering the WWE Hall of Fame as he was inducted as part of The Four Horseman alongside Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and J.J. Dillion back in 2012. As such, he is set to become the ninth person in history to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. The only other stars to achieve this rare honor are Flair, Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Sean Waltman.
In addition, Windham is also set to become the second person ever to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of two separate groups. This is an honor that was previously only achieved by Waltman through his inductions as a member of D-Generation X and the New World Order respectively.
In an article confirming their impending WWE Hall of Famer inductions on WWE.com, the company reflected on the duo competing at the very first WrestleMania where they lost the WWF Tag Team Championship to Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik. Their impact on tag team wrestling was also celebrated as well as their legacy continuing into the current generation of stars through Rotunda’s sons, Bo Dallas and the late Bray Wyatt, competing in WWE themselves.
