The road to WWE WrestleMania XL has been rocky, at best, and no pun intended. The week before the WWE Royal Rumble, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confirmed that he had torn his MCL and doctors were telling him he may miss the big show. Rollins did not take the advice of doctors, and has instead decided to rehab as quickly as possible in order to compete in the main event. Who he will face at this point is anyone’s guess. CM Punk was his expected opponent, but he, too, has gone down with injury, having torn his right tricep. After yesterday’s WWE WrestleMania XL Kickoff Event, a match involving The Rock, Roman Reigns, and/or Cody Rhodes looks possible.
In an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Seth Rollins was asked how his knee was feeling.
“It feels really good,” he said. “I tore my MCL three weeks ago, meniscus injury in there as well. But I feel really good. I really kind of turned a corner this week with the rehab. I’m feeling really good. I think another three or four weeks or so; I’m not exactly sure. But I’ll definitely be back before Wrestlemania.”
“We’ll be healthy and ready to go,” he added. “100% at WrestleMania, no question.”
