Haus of Wrestling has received the following press release from BetOnline, revealing their opening match lines for WWE WrestleMania 40. Notably, Cody Rhodes is favored to defeat Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and finish his story.

None of the above matches have been confirmed by WWE, and due to several last-minute issues with talent, the card is very much subject to change. Noticeably absent from BetOnline’s odds is a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. Last night on WWE Raw, CM Punk confirmed that he is injured, and Seth “Freaking” Rollins set the stage for Rhodes to possibly challenge him, and not Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
While not likely, it is possible a dramatic change could be made to the WWE WrestleMania 40 card that sees Rhodes face Rollins instead of Reigns. If that were to happen, the only man who could seemingly replace Rhodes in a match against Reigns would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Rock did tease a match with Reigns on WWE Raw: Day 1 and recently joined the TKO Board of Directors, so it is a scenario that at least sounds plausible.
