Throughout the ’80s and into the early ’90s, Hulk Hogan told children to eat their vitamins and say their prayers if they wanted to be a real American like him. These days, it seems Hogan is taking those words to heart. On his Instagram account, Hogan shared a video of himself and what appears to be his new wife, Sky Daily, being baptized. They are joined by a pastor, with whom Hogan shares a photo.
“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” he wrote. “No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”
Considering Nick Hogan’s unfortunate DUI arrest recently, it is not surprising that Hulk is reconnecting with his faith. Nick was arrested last month for driving under the influence in Clearwater, FL, after partying at Hogan’s Hangout. Based on a video released by TMZ, Nick was in the booth at the bar, helping to run a bikini contest that his father was hosting. As part of the video, Hulk can be heard saying they were giving away free shots.
After Nick’s appearance at the bar, police observed his vehicle going 51 mph in a 40 mph speed zone and attempted to get him to pull over. Once Nick was on the side of the road, officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol and noticed his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. Nick declined to take a breathalyzer and proceeded to fail several field sobriety tests. He was charged with a misdemeanor, processed the same day as the arrest, and released on a $5,000 bond.
The incident is all the more troubling based on where it took place. In 2017, Nick was involved in another DUI in Clearwater, FL, that had near-fatal consequences. Nick’s then-friend, John Graziano, was in the vehicle when he crashed and was permanently paralyzed. Graziano is a United States veteran who will require care for the rest of his life.
