Tomorrow night, Bayley steps inside WarGames for the second time following a loss at last year’s Survivor Series in the hopes of bringing Damage CTRL their first victory inside the ominous structure. She teams with stablemates Asuka, Kairi Sane, and IYO SKY to take on the star-studded team of Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch.
However, it seems Bayley’s control over her own faction is slowly but surely waning. Ever since Kairi Sane made her surprise WWE return at Crown Jewel and aligned herself with the group, it seems as if the former Hugger hasn’t been on the same page as her now-trio of Japanese teammates. Luckily though, it seems as if she has a plan involving her former friend-turned-enemy and ex-WWE star Mercedes Mone, if a recent social media tease is to be believed.
In an Instagram story post earlier today, Bayley posted a photo of herself, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and the former Sasha Banks from the summer of 2020 when Bayley was both SmackDown Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion with Banks while Asuka was Raw Women’s Champion. The photo is accompanied by a simple caption: “I’ve always got a plan.” She followed that up with another photo post, this time of the current Damage CTRL members making their way to the ring through the crowd without a caption.
Bayley and Banks have not appeared on-screen together in almost three years with the now-Mercedes Mone making waves in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom. However, she hasn’t competed in the ring in over six months, suffering an injury in the finals of the NJPW Strong Women’s Title tournament back in May which has kept her out of action ever since. Mone made her last on-screen wrestling appearance during AEW All In Zero Hour in September but has not reappeared in the promotion since.
