Although AEW Collision posted its lowest-ever rating this past Saturday, one of the highlights in viewership was Julia Hart. The House of Black member faced Vertvixen in the highest-rated segment of the show, which saw a significant bump in viewership over the previous quarter-hour. The following night, at AEW WrestleDream, Hart went on to challenge Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship but came up short.
It seems AEW will now be without Hart – at least for a little while. A recent report from Fightful Select states that the wrestler will be taking some time off to go on her honeymoon. Hart and fellow AEW star Lee Johnson are set to get married sometime this month, according to a post on Hart’s Instagram a few weeks ago. Johnson will reportedly be taking time off as well. While it’s been some time since he appeared on AEW television, Johnson has been appearing for Ring of Honor.
Building up to her TBS Championship match, Hart had been on quite a run. Prior to Saturday, Hart hadn’t lost a match since April 2022. Her opponent in that match? None other than Statlander. While Brody King has been there to accompany Hart in recent weeks, both Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews have been absent since their AEW Trios World Championship loss at AEW All Out. Matthews has been reportedly spending time with his significant other, WWE’s Rhea Ripley, in their home country of Australia, while Black has been nursing a minor injury, according to the man himself on Instagram. With Ripley returning to WWE Raw this week, and Black confirming he was nearing full recovery, the duo could return to join King while Hart is still away.
