Last year, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash surprised fans by naming Kenny Omega as his favorite wrestler in a post to his official X account. Omega has also received praise in recent times from the likes of Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and Booker T but now, Nash has once again commented on why Omega is his favorite wrestler currently by comparing him to one of his long-time friends and on-screen allies!
Speaking during the latest edition of his Kliq This podcast, Nash and co-host Sean Oliver took a look back on Omega’s infamous 2011 STARDOM match with a 9-year-old girl named Haruka. As the match went on, Oliver reacted in astonishment at how stiff the three-minute bout was with Nash adding that the match as a whole was “unbelievable.” He went on to compare Omega to Sean Waltman in their shared ability to put on a great match with anyone.
“Kenny [Omega] reminds me of Sean Waltman where he can have a match with anybody,” Nash claimed. “So I’ve always been a huge fan of Kenny’s because the fact that he would even do that match. [It’s] another notch in why he’s my favorite.”
