Last night on WWE NXT, Andre Chase finally got his University back, podium, trophies, and all. Chase U had been dealing with scandal and struggle for weeks, in storyline, before Thea Hail’s new friend, Jacy Jayne, came up with a plan to save the school. Thanks to a school calendar that Jayne had mocked up, Chase U was able to raise enough money to be saved. Hard times may not yet be behind the ragtag collegiate group, as a pair of returning WWE stars may have them in their crosshairs: The OC’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Based on photos being shared on social media, Gallows and Anderson attacked Chase U during the week two TV tapings that took place after last night’s episode of WWE NXT went off the air. Haus of Wrestling has been able to confirm the authenticity of the photos independently and that Gallows and Anderson did indeed attack Chase U.
Gallows and Anderson have not competed on WWE TV since the August 18, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown, where they lost to The Street Profits. The two were active as part of the WWE Live Holiday Tour throughout December and competed against WWE stars like Pretty Deadly, Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, and Bobby Lashley. AJ Styles, who does not appear to be part of their WWE NXT attack, competed alongside them on several occasions as part of the WWE Live Holiday Tour. It is possible he will join them in NXT to participate in their feud with Chase U.
The WWE NXT week two TV taping also featured Shotzi getting injured during a match against WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. Shotzi reportedly suffered a knee injury and was unable to put weight on her leg before being escorted to a medical examination. There is no update on the severity of the injury or when she may return.
Last night’s WWE NXT live episode featured The WolfDogs, Bron Breakker, and Baron Corbin, defeating The Family to become WWE NXT World Tag Team Champions. Their win comes at a time when WWE is teasing Breakker signing with the WWE Raw or SmackDown brand. As Haus of Wrestling has previously reported, WWE still has plans for Breakker in WWE NXT and will remain active on the brand for the time being, possibly while making main roster appearances.
