As the prospect of The Rock taking on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the big show looms, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freaking” Rollins is trying to lure Rhodes into a match against him. Stirring the pot, Drew McIntyre interjected himself into the show’s opening segment with Rhodes and Rollins, encouraging The American Nightmare to “finish your story.”
The intrigue around what will happen in the WWE WrestleMania 40 men’s main event picture appears to be drawing eyeballs. Wrestlenomics reports that this past Monday night’s WWE Raw drew an average overall audience of 1,889,000 viewers, with a .58 rating in the P18 – 49 demographic. The Bachelor, which aired on ABC, also pulled in a .58 rating in the P18 – 49 demographic, tying WWE Raw to be the top-rated show on Monday.
Despite tying with The Bachelor to be Monday’s top-rated show, WWE Raw was down 1% on average overall and 5% in P18-49 viewership from the week before. Compared to an average of the last four week’s viewership, it was up 17% in average overall, and 13% in P18 – 49 viewership.
The highest average overall and P18 – 49 viewership for this week’s WWE Raw came in the fifth quarter-hour. It drew an average overall audience of about 2,040,000 viewers, with about 801,000 of those in the P18 – 49 demo. It featured the conclusion of Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler, a backstage Liv Morgan promo, an ad break, a backstage segment with McIntyre and Adam Pearce, and an in-ring angle featuring Pearce, Rhea Ripley, and Nia Jax.
The lowest average overall viewership came in the eleventh quarter-hour, which drew about 1,660,000 viewers. It featured an ad break and the beginning of the Bullrope Match between Rhodes and Shinsuke Nakamura. The fourth and tenth quarter-hours tied for the lowest P18-49 viewership, with each pulling about 724,000 viewers in the key demo.
