Tonight’s WWE NXT Vengeance Day featured Lyra Valkyria defending her WWE NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez. The two women quickly got to work exchanging stuff blows and technical counters, but within minutes, the match took a dramatic turn. Following a near-fall attempt by Perez on Valkyria, Lola Vice’s music hit, and the rookie star rushed to the ring.
Vice was the winner of the 2023 Women’s Breakout Tournament and, with her win, was guaranteed a Money In The Bank-type title shot that could be cashed in at any time. With the contract in hand, Vice made her way to the ring and shoved it into the referee’s hand. The referee then informed the ringside announcer that the match had been changed and was now a triple threat. Despite Valkyria already being beaten down early in the contest, she was able to overcome the odds and ultimately pinned Vice to retain her title.
