This past Monday night on WWE Raw, Seth Rollins successfully defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal. The win did not come without its drawbacks, however, as Rollins could be seen limping toward the end of the match. The champion reportedly had to be helped to the back afterward but was eventually able to put weight on his injured leg. There has not been any update on his health since.
WrestleVotes reports that based on sources they have spoken with, “the plan of as now is for Seth Rollins to address his health & future as World Heavyweight Champion this Monday night on RAW.”
The ominous update has many fans speculating they could be getting set up for bad news. If Rollins is legitimately injured and has to miss any significant amount of time, it is possible his much-hyped WWE WrestleMania 40 match against CM Punk could be off the table. Many are holding out hope that this dramatic revelation is merely a swerve and Rollins will throw to the side a pair of crutches and be ready to go.
Already announced for Monday night’s episode of WWE Raw is the following:
- Cody Rhodes going face-to-face with CM Punk
- Ivy Nile vs. Valhalla
- Chad Gable taking on Ivar
- A confrontation between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest
