Chris Jericho has found himself the ire of many pro wrestling fans after receiving “NDA” chants and more at AEW Worlds End last month. The chants were largely the result of a former female AEW star responding with a heart emoji to a social media post implying there were unaired accusations against Jericho. During the Worlds End press conference, when pressed by the media, Tony Khan declined to say that Jericho had never been internally accused of sexual misconduct.
Jericho appeared in a backstage segment on AEW Collision and was booed when shown on screen. He will team with Sammy Guevara against AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill at Battle Of The Belts this Saturday night. Jericho then takes off on his semi-annual cruise later this month and has Fozzy tour dates booked in throughout the back half of February.
Bodyslam.net reports that on Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea – Part Deux: Second Wave, which took place in January 2020, there was an incident between Jericho and WWE star MVP. Heated words were apparently exchanged, and MVP eventually knocked out Jericho. What they were arguing about or how the knockout took place were not revealed.
In June of last year, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the two men nearly got into a heated confrontation in May 2022 in a Houston hotel lobby. MVP was said to have interrupted a conversation between Jericho and fellow AEW star Matt Hardy, and things got tense quickly. It sounds as if Jericho swiftly shuffled to the elevator and yelled something about not wrestling jobbers.
MVP’s last match took place right around the same time as the hotel lobby incident. On the July 18, 2022, episode of WWE Raw, MVP unsuccessfully teamed with Omos in a tag team match against The Street Profits.
