Brutus and Julius Creed made their main roster debut last week on WWE Raw, defeating Alpha Academy before returning to WWE NXT the following night to get a win over Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. It seems that was the end of the duo’s NXT tenure, as General Manager Adam Pearce welcomed the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile to the red brand’s roster on tonight’s show. The tag team signed contracts in a pretaped segment, with the recently reunited DIY confronting the two to set up a match for Raw.
Immediately following the pretaped segment, the match kicked off, with both teams making their entrances before Julius and Tomasso Ciampa started things off in the ring. Unsurprisingly, Julius used his technical prowess to take control in the opening moments before Johnny Gargano was able to tag in. Things stayed evenly matched for several minutes, with Brutus eventually working his way into the bout despite not being the legal man. As the match continued, DIY began showing their veteran experience, taking control until Ludwig Kaiser appeared, taking out Ciampa on the outside and leaving Gargano outnumbered. Seconds later, Brutus Creed landed a Brutus Ball on Gargano for the victory – their second in a row.
Last week’s Raw featured the first reunion of Ciampa and Gargano in years, with the team defeating Kaiser and his Imperium partner Giovanni Vicci. Following Kaiser’s actions tonight, DIY will undoubtedly look to seek revenge. Meanwhile, it seems likely that the Creed Brothers will continue their climb up Raw’s tag division.
