Jon Moxley has been out of action ever since AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam where he suffered a concussion during his title defense against Rey Fenix, causing an audible to be called for Fenix to win his AEW International Championship. Moxley returned to the promotion this past weekend at AEW WrestleDream where he served as a commentator for Claudio Castagnoli vs. Josh Barnett, Ricky Starks vs. Wheeler Yuta, and Bryan Danielson vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
It has now been confirmed that Moxley will compete for the first time since his concussion at Grand Slam on the ‘Title Tuesday’ special edition of AEW Dynamite next week. The former AEW World Champion is set for a rematch with Fenix for the International title after the champion successfully retained the belt over Nick Jackson on Dynamite last night.
Three other matches were also confirmed for Title Tuesday last night: The newest member of The Don Callis Family Powerhouse Hobbs will take on Chris Jericho; Jay White will face ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and a TNT Championship #1 Contender’s match is set to take place between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland. Prior to Dynamite, Saraya vs. Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship and Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus were also made official for the event.
Elsewhere on Dynamite, MJF’s first AEW World Championship match since AEW All In was made official for Full Gear and Wardlow made his surprise return to AEW for the first time in almost four months. The 35-year-old hasn’t been seen in the promotion since losing the TNT Championship to Luchasaurus on the inaugural episode of AEW Collision back in June.
