Tonight’s WWE Raw kicked off in an unusually chaotic manner, with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler brawling on the ramp as the show began. Jax and Baszler were soon joined by a returning Raquel Rodriguez, followed quickly thereafter by Rhea Ripley, who has also been absent in recent weeks. After a quick brawl, Jax, Baszler, and Rodriguez wound up heading to the back while Ripley made her way to the ring. The WWE Women’s World Champion then grabbed a microphone and demanded the rest of The Judgment Day to make their way to the ring.
Following the show’s opening minutes, The Judgment Day spent almost the first 30 minutes of tonight’s Raw discussing their issues before confronting Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. That led to the announcement of a tag title match this Saturday, with Uso and Rhodes challenging Priest and Finn Balor, who was absent from Raw tonight. As for Ripley, it’s not yet known if she will have a match on Saturday’s show.
Ripley has been absent from WWE programming since the September 11 edition of Raw. That show came to a close with Ripley successfully defending her championship against Rodriguez before Jax returned to WWE and laid them both out. Ripley got a modicum of revenge tonight, but there’s undoubtedly much more to come between the two looking forward. During her time away from the ring, Ripley reportedly enjoyed some time on vacation, but the champion came back tonight to set her stable’s affairs in order.
