But the titles matches kept coming on Rampage: Grand Slam including a match from The Hung Bucks!
Both before and after the live broadcast of Dynamite Grand Slam, matches were taped for Friday’s edition of Rampage Grand Slam. Most notably, The Young Bucks & Hangman Page challenged Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Champions Mogul Embassy and The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn put the AEW World Trios Championship on the line against The Dark Order. Spoilers below for the upcoming AEW Rampage Grand Slam, you have been warned!
In the first match taped following Dynamite, The Hung Bucks defeated Brian Cage & The Gates Of Agony to win the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. This is the second time The Bucks & Page have won Ring of Honor’s trios title, originally capturing the belt back in 2017 as members of the Bullet Club. The trio captured the title from Dalton Castle & The Boys at an ROH War Of The Worlds UK event in Edinburgh, Scotland, holding it for just over six months before SCU dethroned them at ROH’s 16th Anniversary event.
Other notable moments on AEW Rampage Grand Slam include Santana winning his first-ever AEW singles match and having a subsequent staredown with long-time tag partner Oritz; Dutch and Vincent of The Righteous becoming number one contenders to MJF and Adam Cole’s ROH World Tag Team Championship; Kenny Omega saving Chris Jericho from a beatdown at the hands of Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita & Don Callis; and The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn successfully retaining the AEW World Trios Championship against The Dark Order.
