Last week, WWE underwent major staff layoffs following the company’s merger with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings. Over 100 employees are reported to have been let go from the company this past Friday including major figures like Executive Vice President of Development & Digital Jamie Horowitz and Executive Vice President & Head Of Marketing Catherine Newman.
Our own Nick Hausman reported the day before that “major cuts” would be coming to both the main roster and the NXT roster in the wake of the company’s deal with Endeavor. Unfortunately, it seems like those cuts could be occurring today as both reports and social media posts from talent directly are suggesting that multiple WWE talents have been released from the company.
Mustafa Ali announced earlier this morning that he was no longer working with the company after appearing on NXT less than 48 hours ago. Less than an hour later, Emma revealed via her X account that she has been released from her WWE contract. She returned to the company less than a year ago as a surprise challenger for then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Recently, she has been managing her real-life partner Riddick Moss.
Shortly after, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that there are “rumblings” within the company that there will be talent cuts taking place today. Since then, Sapp has reported that Rick Boogs has been released and Aliyah posted on her X account that she was no longer with the company either.
