Becky Lynch captured the WWE NXT Women’s Championship last Tuesday night when she defeated Tiffany Stratton. This week, The Man came around once again and made it clear she will be doing so more often. In the main event of last night’s episode, Lynch teamed with Lyra Valkyria in a winning effort against Stratton and Kiana James. Following the match, Stratton hit the ring with a steel chair, laying out Lynch with repeated shots. Once Lynch regained consciousness, she grabbed a microphone and declared her rematch with Stratton at WWE NXT No Mercy would be an Extreme Rules bout.
SportsTVRatings reports that last night’s episode of WWE NXT drew an average of 824,000 with a .24 rating in the P18 – 49 demo. Based on their reporting, it was yesterday’s most-watched cable sports original. By comparison, last week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 850,000 viewers, with a .26 rating in the P18 – 49 demo, slightly above this week’s show.
Wrestlenomics reports that the highest overall and P18 – 49 viewership came in the fifth quarter-hour, which largely featured the match between WWE NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and WWE NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. That quarter drew an average of 912,000 viewers, with about 348,000 of those in the P18 – 49 demo. The overrun for the women’s tag team main event delivered an average of 886,000 viewers, with about 342,000 of those in the P18 – 49 demo.
