Since retaining his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns has avoided WWE TV. In his place, his wiseman, Paul Heyman, has been responsible for keeping The Bloodline’s affairs in order, including motivating a returning Jimmy Uso, who is attempting to win back the affection of Reigns, and confronting possible future opponents, like LA Knight.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Reigns’ next Undisputed WWE Universal Championship defense will take place more than a month from now, at the November 4 Saudi Arabia premium live event. It was also noted that Reigns will return to WWE TV in time to promote the match, so he should be back in the fold in the next few weeks. No official name has been announced for the next Saudi Arabia premium live event, but WWE Crown Jewel did take place last year around the same time, on November 5.
Knight is arguably at the top of the list of next opponents for Reigns. Following his Slim Jim Battle Royal win at WWE SummerSlam, Knight was reportedly shifted up the internal roster list to the top babyface spot on Smackdown. Since that time, he has picked up wins over The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, former WWE United States Champion Austin Theory, and The Miz. His win over The Miz happened at WWE Payback and came with the added bonus of John Cena putting him over after the match.
This past Friday night on Smackdown, Knight found himself face-to-face with Heyman in his locker room. At first, Heyman feigned praise for the leader of the YEAH! Movement.
“My name is Paul Heyman, and I am a huge admirer of your work,” he said. “Yeah! It’s catchy.”
Heyman then informed Knight that the next time security at the door of his locker room tells him it is occupied, to “Knock first. Are we clear?”
Knight responded by whispering in Heyman’s ear, “Yeah.”
