As questions swirl about CM Punk and his future with AEW, the promotion is poised to present its latest Collision episode tomorrow night at The United Center. Many fans are hoping that things between AEW and The Second City Saint can be resolved so that he can appear on Collision and All Out, but as Haus of Wrestling has reported, it does not look like that will be happening. With fans waiting with bated breath to see how the situation plays out, Tony Khan is making moves to try and deliver marquee names and matches to satisfy fans.
Just now, AEW announced on social media that former Chicago Bulls player and NWO member Dennis Rodman will be appearing on tomorrow night’s Collision.
“What will happen when the unpredictable @NBA Hall Of Famer #theWorm @dennisrodman returns to the @UnitedCenter TOMORROW when Saturday Night #AEWCollision is LIVE from Chicago?!?” AEW said. “Don’t miss Saturday Night Collision LIVE! 8pm ET/7pm CT on @tntdrama! http://AEWTIX.com.”
Rodman wrestled as part of the WCW roster from 1997 until 1999, formally joining the NWO stable at Uncensored 1997. A few months after infusing himself into the renegade faction, Rodzilla helped Hulk Hogan capture the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by dressing as Sting and knocking out Lex Luger with a baseball bat. His last pro wrestling appearance occurred in 2008 when he competed on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, a reality competition series that he eventually won.
It is worth noting that popular independent wrestler Effy has publicly invited Rodman to his Big Gay Brunch show taking place tomorrow afternoon. As of now, there is no word from Rodman in regard to the invitation, but it is entirely possible Rodman decided to appear at two pro wrestling shows on the same day.
I will be at AEW All Out this Sunday night, covering the event on behalf of Haus of Wrestling. Be sure to follow us on the site and our social media platforms for on-site coverage as the big event plays out.
