This past Saturday night on AEW Collision, Andrade El Idolo retained his coveted black leather mask in a ladder match against Buddy Matthews. Matthews was, of course, representing the House of Black, and it appears that El Idolo may not yet be done with the faction.
In a post on social media, El Idolo threw down a challenge that appears to be directed at the House of Black’s leader, Malakai Black, who is from the Netherlands.
“I want the next one!!!” he exclaimed. “I would like to see you face to face at All In London because you are European and it is with your people. Mexico vs Netherlands. @AEW #ALLIN #AEW #London”
The rules for a flag match are relatively simple. In two opposing corners of the ring, the flag for each wrestler is affixed to some kind of stand, sometimes low to the ground and other times high above the ring on a pole. The first wrestler to gain control of the other wrestler’s flag wins the match and bragging rights.
For his part, CM Punk made mention of AEW All In on Collision this past Saturday as well, jokingly commenting that no one from the promotion has yet to bring it up on TV. Along with his jest came the reveal that he has been carrying around the “real” AEW World Championship in his red velvet sack for the past month or so. While it was not outright said that Punk would defend the title on the big show, it was heavily implied.
Earlier today, Wrestlenomics confirmed with a Comcast representative that AEW All In will be available to watch in the United States on pay-per-view and in streaming form in various other countries. This is good news for fans that cannot get tickets for the event itself, which, according to WrestleTix, has more than 77,000 already distributed. If a few more thousand tickets can be sold, which the venue is set up for, it could become the most-attended pro wrestling show of all time.
