AEW And Warner Brothers Discovery Expand Partnership

Haus of Wrestling has just received the following press release from AEW in regard to a new mobile game they are expected to release next year with Warner Brothers Discovery Sports.

WBD Sports and AEW Expand Their Partnership with the Development of New Mobile Game – “AEW: Figure Fighters”

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports and AEW announced the development of a new casual mobile game –
“AEW: Figure Fighters.” This free-to-play game will feature 3D animated versions of AEW wrestlers
battling it out in the ring, allowing fans to expand their fandom and love for the show. Fans will be able to
collect and level up their favorite wrestlers, play in various game modes, and complete numerous
challenges.

The development of the game furthers WBD Sports’ commitment to innovation in gaming, supported by an
ongoing partnership with Immutable X.

“AEW: Figure Fighters” is in early development and planned for release in 2024. Sign up for the latest
updates and announcements at www.AEWFigureFighters.com.

AEW: Fight Forever, the company’s first console game, will be released on June 29, and has already received largely positive reviews from those that have played it. AEW: Figure Fighters will be the third mobile game developed for the promotion, following AEW Casino: Double or Nothing and AEW: Elite General Manager. Both of those games failed to gain much traction with pro wrestling fans but neither were as in-depth as this new game sounds.

The announcement of another project between AEW and Warner Brothers Discovery can only be seen as good news as both sides creep closer to negotiating a new TV rights deal. The success of AEW: Collision is said to be key to those talks but anything Tony Khan can be doing to create synergy with the media conglomerate will certainly help. This past Saturday night’s debut episode saw CM Punk return to the All Elite fold, and while some drama was expected, it seems the show went off without a hitch or much controversy.
