Yeah! You read the headline, right? Yeah! Are you surprised? YEAH! Because you can’t have WWE WrestleMania in LA without LA Knight. At least, that’s the way it is looking at the moment.
The outspoken former NXT star and leader of Maximum Male Models has done a great job creating interest in himself on WWE TV following his somewhat confusing feud against Bray Wyatt. Knight has found himself in the ring jaw-jacking with the likes of top talent like The New Day and Cody Rhodes in recent weeks while Wyatt, on the other hand, has disappeared altogether. The man who was seemingly set to face Wyatt at WrestleMania, Bobby Lashley, has also been left creatively adrift in the wake of Wyatt’s absence.
A new report from WrestleVotes, courtesy of GiveMe Sport, gives good news for fans of both Knight and Lashley. Apparently, Knight is being looked at as Triple H’s “backup” dancing partner for Lashley in a match or segment at WrestleMania if Wyatt is unable to compete. The report also noted that WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin may play some kind of role if the two men become physical.
A follow-up to the report stated that Lashley vs Knight isn’t planned but has been discussed “for over a week now.” Regardless of Knight’s WrestleMania status, it appears the former Hurt Business leader will be included as part of the show as “WWE will find a way to get Lashley on the card.”
If Lashley vs Knight, with some kind of Austin involvement, does go down, it will be featured on a card with a lot of big names already on it. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will defend his titles against Cody Rhodes, Edge will be looking for revenge against Finn Balor inside Hell In A Cell, Rhea Ripley will look to ascend to the top of the mountain with a win over WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and more!
